Olympic Way Fall Registration Info
FALL SESSION 2025
We’re excited to share important details for our upcoming Fall Session 2025, running from Monday, September 15 to Tuesday, December 9!
Returning family pre-registration will open on Wednesday, September 3rd at 12pm.
The registration system will recognize swimmers as returning for one full year from their last registration date. This fills very fast, if the group is full when registering, please DO NOT CALL but email admin@nanaimoriptides.com with the days and times that your swimmer is available. We will be placing swimmers on wait lists in order of the emails received. Phone Calls are reserved for technical difficulties only. Please be patient as this is an extremely busy time for the administrators. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
**New Family wait lists applications only will open on Monday, September 8th at 12pm (noon). You are NOT required to be assessed to be placed on the wait list however if you are unsure of what level to wait list your swimmer for, please contact sidney@nanaimoriptides.com or admin@nanaimoriptides.com with your swimmer's last swim level completed.
Olympic Way/Parks & Recreation Level Cross Reference
OW Level 1 = Swimmer Levels 1 & 2
OW Level 2 = Swimmer Levels 3 & 4
OW Level 3 = Swimmer Levels 5 & 6
There are still a handful of families that did not complete an Assumption of Risk form for their swimmer. This form only needs to be completed once and is a registration requirement. If your swimmer swam with us last session and have not completed a form, your account will be suspended from future registrations. Please contact admin@nanaimoriptides.com if you have any questions.
**Previously we had implemented some changes to the group structuring and skill sets. Accordingly, the age limit for our Olympic Way Learn to Swim Program has been lowered in order to streamline the Learn to Swim to the Competitive program more efficiently. To be fair to everyone affected, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this age limit requirement. If your swimmer is over the age limit in place, other options are Mini Rapids, City lessons, Charke Swim, and AquaStar lessons. Once your swimmer is has the skill sets in place for their group age, we certainly welcome them to be re assessed at that time.
- Olympic Way Level 1 (age 5 - 7yrs)
- Olympic Way Level 2 (age 5 - 8yrs)
- Olympic Way Level 3 (age 5 - 9yrs)
Returning families - Do not try to register in a higher level than their assessment The registration system will only allow swimmers to be registered in their last assessed level. If your swimmer has completed further lessons eg. with the City or Mini Rapids, please contact Sidney at sidney@nanaimoriptides.com in order to be reassessed.

**Note the pool venue in place for the swim lessons.
All Olympic Way Levels 1 & 2 swimming will be held at Beban Pool with the exception of Saturday mornings, which will be held at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre (NAC).
Level 3 swimming will be held at Beban Pool on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and the NAC on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
